2.5 Minute Pitch

May 17, 2025

I just finished pitching in Berlin in a hope to find strategic partnerships and early investors.

In a bid to get it out of my system one more time, here is what I said:

Sex education is failing our youth.

And our kids are suffering.

And I believe this is because of the solutions that exist out there don’t directly solve for the problems of our education systems.

Let’s look at the United States. In the U.S., in the majority of states, sex ed is required in some capacity, and yet we see time and time again that teachers and schools opt out.

So why?

  1. Teachers and admin are under capacity already and they aren’t trained to deliver this material
  2. Kids are less engaged and more disruptive than ever before post-COVID
  3. Parents want to be hyper involved in topics as sensitive as this
  4. States and districts each have their own widely differentiated guidelines of how effective sex education should be taught, and yet no systems of accountability to make sure it actually is.

So teachers and schools opt out. And they opt out regardless of the funding that’s available. Regardless of:

  • The budgets in schools for professional development for teachers
  • Of the millions in private and federal funding that’s been allocated for sex ed related programming
  • And the billions in some states from title IX funding available for EdTech innovation and health and wellness initiatives within school.

So this is where Mobo comes in.

Mobo takes the school funding that’s already available and turns it into effective sex education that educators ACTUALLY deliver by making it exceptionally easy to use.

Mobo is a digital SAAS platform that modularizes and gamifies sex education curriculum. It is entirely customizable down the words that a user sees, and has built in analytics to make that accountability easy.

We released an MVP earlier this year that I programmed myself to a group of about 40 users. We have built partnerships with sex educators and researchers across the country.

We’re looking for more of those partnerships to help mold Mobo as a product, as well as early investors.

If that’s you, find us on LinkedIn and Instagram @learnmobo — and check out our site at learnmobo.com.
